Developed by Hunan Stron Smart Co., Ltd., a professional provider of smart metering solutions, the Stron Vending System is a comprehensive, user-friendly management platform tailored to streamline the operation, monitoring, and billing of a wide range of smart meters. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the company’s independently developed metering products, this system empowers users to efficiently manage daily charging tasks, maintain data security, and scale functions as needed—making it an ideal choice for property managers, utility service providers, and facility administrators.

1. Core Compatibility & Technical Foundation

The system is engineered to support multiple types of Stron smart meters, covering energy, water, and gas metering needs:
 
  • Energy Meters: Integrated keypad single-phase meters, split keypad single-phase meters, integrated keypad three-phase meters, split keypad three-phase meters
  • Water Meters: Integrated keypad water meters, split keypad water meters
  • Gas Meters: Integrated keypad gas meters, split keypad gas meters
  • Other compatible smart meters
 
For backend data management, the system adopts Microsoft SQL Server—a reliable, industry-standard database tool—ensuring stable data storage and retrieval. Note that a stable internet connection is required for system operation. Additionally, the system offers a matching API (Application Programming Interface) for extended integration; API accounts can be requested via your dedicated sales representative, and system data remains consistent with API data.

2. Key Functional Modules

The Stron Vending System is organized into 8 core modules, each designed to address specific operational needs with intuitive workflows:

2.1 Library Center (Data Management Hub)

Serves as the foundation for system data, enabling centralized management of meters, pricing, customers, and more. Key features include:
 
  • Meter Library: Add, edit, remove, export (to Excel), or import (from Excel) meter data. A time-saving "batch input" function allows users to enter consecutive meter IDs by specifying only the start and end IDs (no need for one-by-one entry).
  • Price Library: Create unlimited pricing plans, edit existing prices, or delete obsolete ones—supporting flexible tariff management for different meter types or user categories.
  • Customer Library: Store and manage customer details (ID, name, address, phone, email) with unlimited entry capacity. Data can be exported/imported via Excel for easy bulk operations.
  • District Library: Manage regional information (e.g., residential zones, industrial areas) to group meters and customers by location.
  • Sales Station Library: Track sales outlets with customizable station IDs and location details, linking each station to specific districts.
  • Account Library: Associate customer accounts with meters, sales stations, and tariff categories—providing a unified view of each user’s metering and billing data.
 
All libraries include a search function for quick data retrieval by keywords.

2.2 Top-up Center (Recharge Operations)

Facilitates two flexible recharge methods for end-users, with real-time receipt generation:
 
  • Top-up by Amount: Select a meter, enter the recharge amount and currency (e.g., RMB, USD), choose a payment type (e.g., cash, e-card), and confirm. The system generates a receipt with a unique recharge TOKEN for meter activation.
  • Top-up by Unit: Recharge based on usage units (e.g., cubic meters for water/gas). Enter the desired unit quantity, select a payment type, and confirm—again, a TOKEN-containing receipt is generated post-success.
  • Refresh: Update the recharge page in real time to view the latest meter status or transaction data.

2.3 Advance Center (Troubleshooting & Reset)

Addresses exceptional scenarios (e.g., tampering, residual credit) to restore normal meter operation:
 
  • Clear Tamper: Resolve errors caused by meter tampering (e.g., electricity theft, unauthorized meter cover opening). Select the affected meter, and the system generates a tamper-clearing TOKEN via a receipt.
  • Clear Tamper Record: View and export (to Excel) historical tamper-clearing logs, including customer ID, meter number, operator, TOKEN, and timestamp.
  • Clear Credit: Reset the remaining balance in a meter (e.g., for account closure or adjustment). A unique TOKEN is generated to authorize the credit reset.
  • Clear Credit Record: Track all credit-reset operations with exportable logs.

2.4 Reports Center (Data Analysis & Compliance)

Generate 6 types of detailed reports to support auditing, billing verification, and operational analysis:
 
  • Receipt Report: Comprehensive recharge records (district, customer, meter ID, account ID, payment amount, TOKEN, operator, etc.).
  • Monthly Summary Report: Monthly usage and payment data (total paid, VAT, excise duty, charge value, energy consumption).
  • Customer Payment Report: Recharge history per sales station (total charges, number of transactions, payment type).
  • Transaction Number Report: Query transaction IDs with linked customer, meter, and purchase details.
  • District Report: Regional performance data (number of charges, cash/cheque/e-card payments, total revenue by district/sales station).
  • Non-Vending Meter Report: Identify meters with no recharge activity within a user-defined time period (supports PDF/Excel export).

2.5 Account Management (User Access Control)

Ensure secure, role-based access to the system:
 
  • Change Passwords: Update either the payment password (for recharge operations) or login password (for system access).
  • Create Sub-Accounts: Generate unlimited sub-accounts with customized permissions (e.g., a "recharge-only" account for frontdesk staff). The process involves:
    1. Role Management: Define roles (e.g., "OnlyVending") and assign specific permissions (e.g., access to Top-up Center only).
    2. User Management: Create sub-accounts, link them to roles, and enter user details (ID, name, phone).
    3. Reset Password: Default sub-account password is set to "123456" (reminder: reset and secure passwords post-creation).
 
The default system operator is "Admin," which has full administrative rights.
